In Bentley OpenUtilities Designer, interoperability scenario can be implemented for a number of different purposes, varying from the exchange of the water utility network as CAD data (graphics only or GIS data (graphics and properties) to exchange of the water utility network as a hydraulic model.

Bentley OpenUtilities inherits its capability to exchange data in CAD and GIS interoperability scenarios from MicroStation and Bentley Map, and adds capabilities for integration with hydraulic modeling products.
